Has your Standard Toolbar ever disappeared in Microsoft Excel for Mac? Have no fear, there’s a shortcut to get it back! Toggling the Standard Toolbar on the top of the Microsoft Excel window is a simple one modifier key shortcut. Method 1: Make sure that toolbar display is not turned off. In the upper-right corner of the Excel window, click the oval button. Note When this button is clicked, the toolbars are hidden (in any Microsoft Office for Mac application). This is driving me nuts.does anyone know how to set the Excel (2008 version) toolbars at top of app to remain as a saved preference? I've tried everything and when I quit Excel and re-open, everything I've changed about the toolbar view is gone and I'm left with nothing. I've just installed Excel 2011 on Mac OS, but what is strange is that there are no shortcuts for the 'borders' tools and each time, I have to go through 'right click > format cell borders.etc'. Have to have this toolbox back as for the previous versions. This happens when you're using a 13. In the upper-right corner of the Excel window, click the oval button. Note When this button is clicked, the toolbars are hidden (in any Microsoft Office for Mac application). I'm working on a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. I hit a button and suddenly the toolbar is hidden. The toolbar that contains all the formulas, fonts, colors, etc.
